Job summary

Convive Brands is seeking an Assistant General Manager for our New York City location. You will lead from the floor, coach teams during service, and ensure every guest experiences warm hospitality aligned with our brand standards.

You will collaborate with the General Manager on hiring, onboarding, and developing staff while driving labor efficiency and profitability. The role emphasizes people, hospitality, operations, and financial performance, with opportunities to advance toward future GM

Qualifications

• 2+ years of restaurant leadership experience in a full-service setting.
• Proven ability to lead from the floor during service and coach teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead from the floor, stay highly engaged during service, coach in the moment, support the team, and ensure guests receive exceptional hospitality from arrival through departure.
• Own the guest experience, anticipate needs, resolve concerns with empathy and urgency, and turn recovery moments into loyalty.
• Develop people and culture, creating an environment where team members feel valued, accountable, and motivated to grow.
• Recruit, interview, hire, onboard, develop, and retain a high-performing restaurant team.
• Lead and coach opening, service, and closing, ensuring strong shift-to-shift communication.
• Own labor deployment during service, balancing guest experience with productivity and financials.
• Maintain high standards for food quality, hospitality, cleanliness, and food safety across the brand.
• Partner with GM to manage inventory, food cost, waste, ordering, and COGS to improve performance.
• Contribute to P&L performance using sales, labor, and cost metrics to forecast needs and drive profitability.
