Job summary

JGS Leavitt Family Jewish Home in Longmeadow, MA is seeking a Floor Care Technician to maintain clean, safe floors across our long-term care facility. The role is part-time with 7:00AM–3:00PM shifts and weekend/holiday rotations.

Pay ranges from $16.00 to $18.00 per hour based on experience. The successful candidate will perform routine floor care, disinfect high-traffic areas, operate floor-care equipment, and coordinate cleaning around residents and activities.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Experience in healthcare or senior living setting preferred.
• Ability to communicate fluently in English.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine floor care, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, buffing, stripping, and waxing floors throughout the long-term care facility.
• Clean and disinfect floors and high-traffic areas according to infection-control and facility safety standards.
• Operate and maintain floor-care equipment and promptly report equipment malfunctions or safety hazards.
• Coordinate cleaning activities around residents, staff, meals, and scheduled activities to maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment.
