Job summary

ProAmpac is seeking a results-oriented Continuous Improvement professional to strengthen our Operational Excellence initiatives in a 24/7 manufacturing environment. You will lead projects by liaising with hourly operators, supervisors, and managers to implement tangible improvements and ensure safety and quality standards are upheld.

The role requires a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while improving daily processes

Qualifications

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Must have strong time management to handle multiple projects while addressing day-to-day processes.
• Lean/Six Sigma knowledge and/or certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Uphold a genuine regard for safety, ensuring employees understand and follow safety guidelines and recognizing individuals for their involvement.
• Drive continuous improvement by spending time on the floor talking with operators, completing time studies, verifying/validating SOPs, etc.
• Lead projects by gathering information from hourly employees, creating tangible goals and deadlines, and reporting improvements to all employees.
• Align with Department Managers on priority of projects and provides updates.
• Audit quality, safety, and environmental housekeeping procedures.
• Flexible to support a 24/7 operation.
• Be highly organized and self-directed with an ability to prioritize projects, combined with the ability to provide and receive direction.
• Apply analytical and critical thinking skills to quickly absorb new procedures and new industry advancements.
