Job summary

Maricopa County Flood Control District seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead planning, design, and construction of large flood risk reduction projects. You will oversee multiple initiatives from concept through delivery, coordinating engineers, planners, and external consultants.

The role requires four years of capital projects experience, a relevant bachelor's degree, and PE or EIT status or the ability to obtain Arizona certification.

Qualifications

• Four years of experience managing large projects in capital improvement, scoping, design, and construction.
• Experience with flood control projects and public works design development.
• Experience coordinating consultants, budgets, and project schedules.
• PE registration or ability to obtain Arizona registration within six months.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction for project development across all phases.
• Coordinate consultants, planners, and staff to ensure design and construction success.
• Plan work, develop scope, schedules, budgets, and specifications; ensure regulatory conformance.
• Prepare authorizations (MOUs, IGAs, resolutions) and present to boards and partners.
• Participate in consultant selections and contract negotiations.
