Job summary

ADM is seeking a Floater Shift Supervisor in Hutchinson, KS to oversee a 6–12 person production team on the assigned shift. This exempt, full-time role emphasizes safety, quality, and compliance with GMP, HACCP, FSMA, and SQF standards.

The supervisor will lead the team, ensure accurate reporting, and support continuous improvement initiatives. Responsibilities include coordinating with maintenance, safety, and quality teams, conducting pre-shift meetings, and covering for vacancies as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to sit/stand/walk for prolonged periods and lift 50 lb bags.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts with rotating weekends.
• Experience coaching others and documenting corrective actions.
• Capable of working in hot/cold environments and confined spaces.
• Ability to analyze information quickly to troubleshoot processes.
• Prior food manufacturing leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of 6–12 hourly staff during the assigned shift.
• Enforce safety, food safety, quality, and GMP policies.
• Lead pre-shift toolbox meetings on safety, quality, and operations.
• Ensure proper documentation: lot changes, cleaning, production reports, hand-offs.
• Coordinate with maintenance, safety, and quality for continuous improvement.
• Fill in for all positions to cover absences when needed.
