Job summary

Labcorp in the Houston area is hiring a Float Phlebotomist to support Kingwood and Spring locations. You will perform venipuncture and capillary collections across sites and assist multiple clinics as needed.

Requirements: high school diploma or equivalent; 2+ years as a phlebotomist or Labcorp experience; valid driver’s license; strong communication and teamwork; ability to travel between sites. Benefits include PST Incentive Plan with quarterly bonuses, Float Incentive pay of $1.00/hr plus

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years as a phlebotomist or Labcorp experience preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification or accredited training acceptable in lieu of work experience.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills; ability to work independently or in a team.
• Able to travel to multiple sites as needed.
• Be at least 21 years old.
• Flexibility to work overtime and pass color vision tests.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Enter patient information accurately in the system.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients.
• Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
