Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Float Phlebotomist to join our Hampton Roads, VA area team. The role involves blood collection by venipuncture and capillary techniques across age groups, data entry, and travel to multiple sites. You will support patient services and ensure accurate specimen processing.

Candidates should have a high school diploma and phlebotomy certification or equivalent, with preferred 1+ year experience. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 6+ months experience as a phlebotomist.
• 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience (preferred).
• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or training from an accredited agency.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
