Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Float Phlebotomist to join our team in Chesapeake, VA. The role involves traveling between sites, performing venipuncture and capillary collections, and ensuring accurate data entry and patient service.

The ideal candidate holds a high school diploma and phlebotomy certification or training, or has 6+ months of phlebotomy experience. The position offers benefits and a competitive hourly pay range.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 6 months’ or more experience as a phlebotomist.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
• Other Duties as assigned.
