SteveRecruiter, LLC seeks a Phlebotomist for Imperial, CA area on a contract basis with potential for permanent employment after 3 months. The position involves blood draws, labeling, centrifugation and specimen handling in a fast-paced setting and requires reliable transportation.

Expect 6:00 AM–6:00 PM hours, M-F, with potential location flex (Brawley/Calexico) and mileage reimbursement. Valid phlebotomy certification and 6 months venipuncture experience are required; benefits available.

Formación

• Phlebotomy certification required by state where employed.
• Minimum 6 months' experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsabilidades

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information, etc.
• Properly explains in a clear but courteous manner the process of venipuncture and other specimen collection as required.
• Demonstrate technique using straight needles and/or butterfly needles; understand physicians' orders.
• Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes; label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test order.
• Check all test requisitions or computer label against script to ensure 100% correct. Package specimens for transport.
• Store specimen samples according to required temperature, label containers, and follow protocols for transport to maintain integrity.
• Understand and comply with OSHA and DEP regulations; attend annual department trainings.
• Answer telephone calls, read laboratory results to satisfy inquiries.
