Job summary

Derrel's Mini Storage is seeking a Floating Facility Manager to cover multiple Fresno-area locations (Fresno, Clovis, Madera). You will manage operations at each site on a temporary basis, lease units, collect payments, and handle move-ins/move-outs.

Flexibility, independent work, and strong customer service are essential. This non-exempt, hourly role requires travel between sites, adherence to policies, and the ability to adapt to different facility procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid California driver’s license with reliable transportation.
• Flexibility to work weekends/holidays and varying hours.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Basic computer proficiency and data entry.
• Must pass credit check, background check, and motor vehicle record check.
• Cash handling, deposits, and reconciliations.

Responsibilities

• Assume full operational responsibility for any assigned facility during placement.
• Provide exceptional in-person and phone customer service, lease units, and process move-ins/move-outs.
• Sell units, services, and basic retail items to meet occupancy goals.
• Collect rent and deposits, post payments, and reconcile daily cash.
• Manage delinquent accounts per policy and state law.
• Maintain tenant records and required daily/weekly/monthly paperwork.
• Inspect facilities for safety, security, and maintenance issues; report as needed.
• Perform routine cleaning and light maintenance at each site.
• Enforce policies and resolve customer concerns professionally with proper documentation.
• Travel between facilities as scheduled and adapt to each site’s procedures.
• Communicate facility conditions and staffing needs with Group Manager.
