Job summary

Derrel's Mini Storage is seeking a Floating Facility Manager to cover vacancies at facilities in Visalia, Tulare, Hanford, and beyond. This role operates on an as-needed basis, with full-time or part-time placement, requiring independence, adaptability, and quick proficiency at new sites.

You will manage leasing, payments, and daily operations, supervise customer service, perform light maintenance, ensure safety, and report conditions to the Group Manager.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid California driver’s license, reliable transportation, and travel between facilities.
• Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with facility management software or POS systems.
• Must pass credit, background, and motor vehicle checks.

Responsibilities

• Assume full operational responsibility for any assigned facility during each placement.
• Provide exceptional customer service in person and by telephone, including leasing and processing move-ins/move-outs.
• Sell storage units and related services to meet occupancy goals.
• Collect rent, post payments, and reconcile daily cash.
• Handle delinquent accounts per policy and California law.
• Maintain accurate tenant records and complete required reporting.
• Conduct regular facility walkthroughs and report maintenance or security issues.
• Perform light maintenance and keep office, grounds, and restrooms clean.
• Enforce policies and resolve customer concerns professionally.
• Travel between facilities as scheduled and adapt to site-specific procedures.
• Communicate with Group Manager about conditions and staffing needs.
• Comply with all safety policies and laws.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
