Job summary

Derrel's Mini Storage is seeking a Floating Facility Manager to serve the Fresno area (Fresno, Clovis, and Madera). You will be placed at multiple Derrel's locations as needed to cover vacancies and busy periods, performing full facility manager duties with independence and flexibility.

This is a non-exempt, hourly position that may be full-time or part-time, with overtime eligibility. A high school diploma, valid CA driver’s license, basic computer skills, and strong customer service are

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid California driver’s license and reliable transportation for travel between facility locations.
• Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Basic computer proficiency including email, data entry, and facility management software.
• Credit check, background check, and motor vehicle record check required.

Responsibilities

• Assume full operational responsibility for any assigned facility.
• Provide exceptional customer service in person and by telephone.
• Sell storage units, related services, and retail merchandise to meet occupancy goals.
• Collect rent and process payments, deposits, and cash handling.
• Manage delinquent accounts per policy and state law.
• Maintain tenant records and required documentation.
• Conduct regular facility walkthroughs and report maintenance or security issues.
• Perform light maintenance and cleaning as needed.
• Enforce policies and resolve customer concerns professionally.
• Travel between facilities as scheduled and adapt to site procedures.
• Communicate with Group Manager on conditions and staffing needs.
• Comply with all policies, safety requirements, and laws.
