Birgo is a mission- driven real estate investment company dedicated to transforming communities and enhancing lives. We're seeking a talented, hands- on, and leadership- minded Floating Maintenance Technician to support our expanding portfolio across Western New York— with a focus on T onawanda, North Tonawanda, West Seneca, Buffalo, and Hamburg.
This role is perfect for someone with a strong maintenance background and a proactive mindset who enjoys variety in their work and thrives in a supportive, fast- paced environment. Experience in coordinating or supervising others— even informally— is a strong plus.
You’ll be the go- to support for on- site teams, ensuring units are safe, beautiful, and functional for our residents. Your day- to- day may include:
Diagnosing and repairing plumbing issues
Troubleshooting and fixing appliances
Tackling a wide range of repairs— drywall, painting, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC
Preparing units for new tenants ( turnovers/ make- readies)
Supporting renovation and rehab projects
Performing preventative maintenance
Participating in the emergency on- call rotation
Providing guidance and assistance to on- site maintenance staff as needed
Solid experience in property maintenance with a well- rounded skill set
Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team
Comfort managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
A proactive, solution- focused approach— bonus if you’ve led or trained others in the past
Requirements:
Eligible to work in the United States
Valid driver’s license and reliable personal transportation
Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds unassisted
Comfortable using power tools, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces
$ 24–$ 28/ hr ( based on experience and skills)
