Job summary

Valiant Residential seeks a Floating Assistant Maintenance to support the maintenance supervisor and ensure property upkeep with safety first. Expect to assist across electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general trade tasks while coordinating with leasing to optimize renewals.

Two years in apartment maintenance, a high school diploma, EPA refrigeration certification, and a valid driver's license are required. Bilingual Spanish a plus; travel and weekend work possible.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of full-time apartment maintenance experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification is a plus.
• EPA refrigerant certification is required.
• English fluency; Spanish bilingual is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Complete resident service requests within 24 hours where possible.
• Assist in managing system for handling resident requests and on-call rotation.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and assist with make-ready status of vacant apartments.
• Perform routine maintenance on electrical, plumbing, HVAC, appliances, and related systems.
• Maintain safety materials current and ensure safe conditions on property.
• Assist in preparing the property for inspections and support emergency standby schedules.
