Job summary

Redwood Communities, Inc. is seeking a Floating Community Manager to provide temporary leadership across multiple HUD/multifamily properties in Michigan.

The role requires a flexible, hands-on leader who can train onsite staff and ensure consistent compliance with company policies and industry regulations. The ideal candidate will manage tenant relations, support leasing goals, oversee operations, and coordinate with the Regional Manager.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a Community Manager or higher in multifamily housing.
• Strong understanding of property management operations, budgeting, and financial reporting.
• Experience with affordable housing programs (LIHTC & HUD, or similar).
• Valid driver's license and insurance.
• Successful completion of background check and eligibility to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Serve as acting Community Manager at assigned HUD or multifamily properties on a temporary or rotating basis.
• Oversee day-to-day property operations and ensure smooth transitions between staff.
• Enforce lease agreements, community rules, and company policies consistently.
• Ensure timely completion of service requests and maintain high curb appeal standards.
• Monitor vendors and contractors to ensure quality work and budget compliance.
