Summary

Performs a variety of duties to provide customer service by explaining and processing investments and other financial services, and maintaining accurate records. All other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Provide excellent customer service by accepting and processing financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, wire transfers, stop payments, check cashing, and cash advances within set guidelines and limits. This may involve traveling to different branches within the region.
2. Issue cashier's checks and redeem savings bonds.
3. Answer customer questions, investigate, and correct errors.
4. Balance customer accounts and ATM/PTM transactions.
5. Process check orders and place holds on accounts as needed.
6. Comply with regulations by completing CTRs and OFAC checks.
7. Identify large volume deposits and cross-sell banking products such as debit cards, online banking, and mobile banking.
8. Familiarize with departments like Wealth Management, Consumer & Mortgage Loans, and Commercial Loans for referrals.
9. Interview customers to explain financial services and open new accounts.
10. Maintain branch organization, balance drawers, and prepare daily settlements.
11. Sign cashier's checks within limits, assist with opening and closing the branch, and handle upset customers.
12. Cross-train in customer sales and vault duties, including cash handling and balancing.
13. Close accounts when necessary.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED, with 1-3 weeks of training or equivalent experience. Skills in Microsoft Word/Excel, Silverlake Teller, Internet Banking, Synergy, Argo, and other systems. Strong interpersonal skills, empathetic listening, and a customer-focused approach are essential.

Physical Demands

Must be able to stand, handle, reach, talk, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds. Vision requirements include close vision and focus adjustment.
