Job summary

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• ACLS certificate within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• PALS certificate within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Minimum of one year experience as staff RN in acute care preferred.
• BSN preferred.
• Able to float to two or more units and maintain competency.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Float to two or more units as needed and maintain competency.
• Direct patient/family teaching and coordinate with nursing staff.
• Communicate with physicians about changes in patient condition and test results.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
