Job summary

Prime Healthcare Mercy Medical Center in Aurora, IL is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse (RN) in the Nursing department. Schedule includes 7:00am - 7:30pm with two 12-hour shifts and a sign-on bonus up to $5,000.

The RN will deliver safe patient care using the nursing process, float to multiple units as needed, and coordinate patient/family teaching while maintaining professional standards. Must hold valid RN license and relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• BLS (ARC/AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• ACLS (ARC/AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• PALS (ARC/AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Minimum of one year experience as a staff RN in an acute care hospital setting preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Able to float to two or more units and maintain competency within assigned areas.

Responsibilities

• The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• The Float RN can be assigned to two (2) or more units based on need and will maintain competency to practice in all units.
