Job summary

Northwestern Medicine Central DuPage Hospital is seeking an inpatient Staff Nurse to deliver comprehensive nursing care to acutely ill patients. You will work within a dynamic team, coordinate care, and continually assess and adjust the care plan to improve outcomes.

The role requires a BSN or ADN with commitment to obtain a BSN, current Illinois RN license, and BLS. Advanced roles in ER or Pediatric ER have additional requirements as noted, with a strong emphasis on collaboration and

Qualifications

• BSN or ADN with commitment to obtain BSN within three years of first day in clinical nurse role.
• Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse license.
• Basic Life Support certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to acutely ill patients using the nursing process.
• Interact with patient and health team while maintaining ANA standards.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans and coordinate care delivery.
• Direct care and utilize nursing assistants appropriately.
• Collaborate with patients, families, physicians and staff to document plan and outcomes.
• Participate in shared governance, committees and unit projects.
• Document patient responses and adjust care plan based on results.
• Use evidence and research findings to guide practice decisions.
