Merchants & Marine Bank is seeking a customer-focused Retail Banker (Float) to join our Daphne, AL area team. This entry-level role covers multiple branches within a 50-mile radius, handling deposits, withdrawals, and various banking transactions with an emphasis on exceptional service.

The Float Retail Banker will support Daphne, Fairhope, Gulf Shores locations, traveling as needed and ensuring compliance with security and regulatory requirements while delivering accurate, confidential service

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous cash handling experience preferred.
• Prior customer service experience required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Process customer financial transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with security, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and build positive relationships with customers and coworkers.
• Maintain a secure, organized, and professional workstation.
• Follow cash handling procedures, audits, and standard operating procedures.
• Identify customer needs and refer to business partners for additional products or issue resolution.
• Assist customers with online banking support, including password resets and account access issues.
• Complete daily item processing using back-counter scanning equipment.
• Maintain a strong working knowledge of the Bank's products and services.
• Support branch operations as needed and perform other duties as assigned by Retail Bank Manager or Bank Officer.
• Travel to and provide coverage for branch locations within a 50-mile radius as needed.
