Job summary

Coshocton Regional Medical Center in East Central Ohio is seeking a Float Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality patient care across multiple units. You’ll apply the nursing process, assess and respond to patient needs, and collaborate with physicians to adjust care plans.

The role requires active RN licensure, BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications, with at least one year of acute care experience. The position is full-time, daytime shifts, with opportunities to work across units and ensure

Qualifications

• Current and valid State RN License.
• BLS (ARC/AHA) certification upon hire and maintain.
• ACLS (ARC/AHA) certification within 30 days of hire and maintain.
• PALS (ARC/AHA) certification within 30 days of hire and maintain.
• Minimum of one year experience as a staff RN in an acute care hospital setting preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Able to float to two or more units and maintain competency.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Float RN may be assigned to two or more units based on need and will maintain competency in all units.
• Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice.
• Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel.
• Communicate with physicians about changes in patient condition and test results; respond quickly to changes in condition or treatment.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. The Float RN can be assigned to two (2) or more units based on need and will maintain competency to practice in all units. Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice. The RN also directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing care. The RN is directly responsible and accountable for the care given to assigned patients on an assigned unit. She/he/them communicates with the physician about the changes in the patient’s clinical condition including results of the diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Is capable of responding quickly and accurately to changes in the condition and/or response to treatment. Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality.

• Current and valid state RN License
• Current BLS (ARC/AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Current ACLS (ARC/AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Current PALS (ARC/AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Minimum of one year experience as a staff RN in an acute care hospital setting preferred.
