Job summary

Coshocton Regional Medical Center, part of Prime Healthcare, seeks a Registered Nurse to deliver safe, compassionate care on the Medical/Surgical Unit. The role requires a current state RN license and compliance with BLS and ACLS training.

You will monitor patient status, perform the nursing process, coordinate with physicians, and educate patients and families. The hospital is 56 beds, not-for-profit, with 24-hour emergency services and a strong focus on quality and community.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• BLS certification at hire and maintained.
• ACLS certification required within 30 days of hire and maintained.
• Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.
• Ventilator management experience preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation).
• Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice on the Medical/Surgical Unit.
• Educate patients and families; guide other nursing personnel.
• Communicate changes in patient condition with physicians, including cardiac monitoring and test results.
• Respond quickly to changes in condition and treatment responses.

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice. The Registered Nurse also directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care within the Medical/Surgical Unit. The Registered Nurse is directly responsible and accountable for the care given to his/her assigned patients. He / She communicates with physician about changes in the patient’s clinical condition including cardiac monitoring, results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.
