Job summary

Coshocton Regional Medical Center in Coshocton, OH, part of Prime Healthcare Foundation, is seeking a Registered Nurse for per diem night shift. The RN will deliver safe patient care using the nursing process and collaborate with physicians.

Requirements include active state RN license, BLS, ACLS, critical care courses, 1 year ICU/acute care experience, possible CCRN, BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Active, valid state RN license is required.
• BLS certification required, ACLS certification preferred or required upon hire.
• Completion of Critical Care Course preferred.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum of one year as a staff RN in an acute care hospital; critical care preferred.
• Critical Care RN (CCRN) Certification preferred.
• BSN degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation).
• Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice.
• Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel.
• Communicate with the physician about changes in the patient’s clinical condition including hemodynamic monitoring, results of diagnostic studies and abnormal results.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice. The Registered Nurse also directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in the ICU. The Registered Nurse is directly responsible and accountable for the care given to his/her assigned patients; He/She communicates with the physician about changes in the patient’s clinical condition including hemodynamic monitoring, results of diagnostic studies and abnormal results and symptomatology. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment. Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality.
