Job summary

Coshocton Regional Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for per diem outpatient services in Coshocton, Ohio. The RN will provide direct patient care, coordinate with surgical and anesthesia teams, and support efficient patient flow while upholding standards of care.

Requirements include active RN license, BLS, ACLS, PALS, and preferred BSN with prior acute care experience. Moderate sedation competency is required within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• ACLS 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• PALS 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Previous acute care hospital experience preferred.
• Moderate Sedation competency completed within 30 days upon hire.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care within the outpatient services setting.
• Communicate patient status and diagnostic results to physicians, Director of Surgical Services, House Supervisor and co-workers.
• Coordinate patient care with surgeons and/or anesthesiologists and other personnel while maintaining standards of care.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure quality patient care, efficient flow, and proper unit maintenance.
• Adhere to regulations, standards and hospital policies; participate in Performance Improvement activities and unit meetings.
• Serve as a resource for other personnel as appropriate.

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse provides direct patient care within the scope of practice in the Out Patient Services setting. The Registered Nurse communicates with physicians, / Director of Surgical Services, House Supervisor and co-workers, as appropriate about changes in the patient’s clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. The Registered Nurse is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. The Registered Nurse coordinates the care of the patient with the surgeon and/or anesthesiologist, directs and guides and other personnel while maintaining standards of care within the Out Patient Department. Works with other departments and co-workers to provide quality patient care across the continuum, efficient patient flow and unit maintenance and organization. Responsible for adherence to regulations, standards and hospital or unit policies and procedures. Responsible for participation in Performance Improvement activities, unit meetings and in-services. Acts as a resource for other personnel as appropriate.
