Job summary

Prime Healthcare seeks a Float Pool Registered Nurse to provide patient care across ICU, CCU, Telemetry and Med-Surg units at Riverview Regional Medical Center in Gadsden, AL. The role includes night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) and involvement in continuous cardiac monitoring and patient education.

The position requires RN licensure, 3 years of experience, BLS and ACLS (preferred). A sign-on bonus is available for qualified candidates, with full benefits from Prime Healthcare.

Qualifications

• 3 years of Registered Nurse experience required.
• Current valid State Registered Nurse license.
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate on hire and maintain current.
• ACLS (AHA) certificate preferred, within 30 days of hire and maintain current.

Responsibilities

• Perform cardiac monitoring and observe telemetry to track heart rhythms.
• Address conditions such as infections, diabetes, post-operative recovery, or chronic illnesses.
• Monitor vital signs and conduct detailed physical assessments.
• Administer medications for cardiac conditions, pain, infection control, or chronic disease management.
• Manage IV lines, fluids, and monitor hydration; ensure correct dosages and observe interactions or side effects.
• Educate patients about heart-healthy practices and discharge care.
