Job summary

Prime Healthcare in Gadsden, AL, seeks a Float Pool Registered Nurse to work nights in the ICU/CCU/Telemetry/Med-Surg, providing flexible patient care across units. Sign-On Bonus available; 7:00 PM–7:00 AM shift with $4–$8 differential.

Location Riverview Regional Medical Center, Gadsden, AL. The Float Pool RN will deliver comprehensive nursing care, monitor cardiac rhythms, manage medications, and support discharge instructions for diverse patient populations.

Qualifications

• 1 Year of Registered Nurse Experience Required
• Current valid State Registered Nurse License.
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Current ACLS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current preferred.
• Additional qualifications that are a plus: Critical Care Course preferred; Acute Care hospital experience preferred; Ventilator management preferred; BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform cardiac monitoring and telemetry surveillance; report arrhythmias or significant changes.
• Address a broad range of conditions such as infections, diabetes, post-operative recovery, or chronic illnesses.
• Monitor vital signs and conduct physical assessments to detect subtle changes in condition.
• Administer cardiac medications and pain management; ensure infection control and chronic disease care.
• Manage IV lines and fluids; monitor hydration and check dosages for interactions.
• Educate patients on heart health, medications, discharge and follow-up.
• Counsel on lifestyle changes to improve cardiac health and prevent readmission.
