Job summary

Resurrection Medical Center in Chicago, IL is seeking a registered nurse to join our Float Pool on the night shift. You will provide patient care across multiple units, following the nursing process and collaborating with physicians and staff.

Qualifications include a valid RN license, BLS, ACLS, PALS, and ability to float to two or more units. Sign-on bonus available for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• BLS (ARC/AHA) certification upon hire.
• ACLS (ARC/AHA) certification within 30 days of hire.
• PALS (ARC/AHA) certification within 30 days of hire; only for certain floating.
• NRP and Basic Fetal monitoring or AWHONN within 90 days for Women’s Services floating.
• TNCC within 12 months for Emergency Department floating.
• BSN preferred.
• Able to float to two or more units and maintain competency.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care utilizing the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing staff.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.
• Provide a safe environment for patients and visitors.
• Communicate with physicians about changes in patient’s condition, diagnostic results, and symptomatology.
