Job summary

Mercy Medical Center in Aurora, IL is seeking a Float Registered Nurse for the Nursing Float department. This full-time day shift (7:00am–7:30pm) requires flexibility to work across units and provide safe patient care using the nursing process.

Candidates must hold a current state RN license, BLS, ACLS, and PALS, with at least one year of acute care experience. BSN preferred; sign-on bonus up to $10,000 discussed during interview.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS required within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum of one year RN experience in acute care preferred.
• BSN preferred.
• Able to float to two or more units.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Float RN to two or more units as needed and maintain competency.
• Direct patient/family teaching and supervise other nurses while maintaining privacy.
• Communicate changes in patient condition with physicians.
