Job summary

St. David's HealthCare seeks a Labor & Delivery Float Pool Registered Nurse to assess patients, develop and evaluate care plans, and coordinate medical treatments within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities include administering medications, delegating to non-licensed staff, providing pre/post-operative care, educating families, and facilitating discharge planning with the care team. Texas RN licensure and BLS/ACLS/NIHSS likely required within specified timelines.

Qualifications

• 2 years of recent clinical nursing experience as an RN.
• Current RN license in TX or compact license with Texas licensing steps.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and develop plans of care.
• Administer medications and treatments per policy.
• Delegate tasks to unlicensed staff per standards of practice.
• Provide pre- and post-operative nursing care.
• Educate patients and families on care and treatments.
• Support discharge planning with the care team.
