Qualifications

• Associate's Degree ADN required.
• BSN preferred for hires after Sept 1, 2013; degree to be completed within 5 years.
• Active MO/KS RN licensure or multistate licensure required upon hire.
• Specialty certification relevant to unit's patient population preferred.
• Lifesupport certifications required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to develop and implement an age-appropriate plan of care.
• Meets educational needs of patient and family using teaching/learning principles.
• Promotes safe, efficient, family-centered care.
• Delegates nursing care based on staff qualifications and patient needs.
• Participates in performance improvement activities and committees.
