Job summary

TriStar Centennial Medical Center is seeking an experienced Float Pool Nurse to provide direct patient care across units as part of the Registered Nurse Practice Act. You will collaborate with the care team to plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care, ensuring safety and quality across shifts.

The role emphasizes therapeutic communication, medications administration, and coordination with physicians, nurses, and other disciplines to support hospital mission and patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with accredited nursing program.
• Current Tennessee Board of Nursing licensure.
• Current BLS certification.
• ACLS within 6 months of hire.
• Two years of clinical nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess plans and evaluate patients' care needs; carry out physician orders.
• Administer prescribed medications, change dressings, cleanse wounds, monitor vital signs.
• Monitor and document patient condition using electronic systems; communicate findings.
• Educate patients and families as part of a multidisciplinary care planning team.
