Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking experienced Registered Nurses to join the St. Vincent Hospital Resource Pool in Billings, MT. RNs will float across inpatient units, providing safe, evidence‑based care with a 10% float differential.

The role offers opportunities for cross‑training into specialty areas, coverage for days, nights, weekends, and holidays, and a supportive, mission‑driven team environment.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• Compact licenses must be transferred to the state of practice within 60 days of start.
• Minimum of 1 year of Registered Nurse experience.
• Willingness and ability to float across multiple units at St. Vincent Hospital.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers.
• RNs with less than 12 months of experience must obtain their BSN within four (4) years of their hire date.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN). Education must be obtained from an accredited institution.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required as of the job description's last update on 4/27/2025. Employees hired or promoted prior to this date will be held to the minimum requirements that were in place at the time of their promotion or hire.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate, and evidence‑based nursing care across inpatient units.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care.
• Adapt quickly to different units, patient populations, and acuity levels.
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, care managers, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Continuously monitor, document, and evaluate patient progress and outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with regulatory standards.
• Educate patients and families to promote recovery, understanding, and safe transitions of care.
• Uphold professional, ethical, and organizational standards of nursing practice.
