Job summary

MedStar Health in Washington, DC seeks a Clinical Nurse in the Float Pool to care for acutely ill adults and their families across multiple units. You will assess evolving conditions, identify health concerns, and develop care plans, contributing to safe, quality patient experiences.

This role offers exposure to a variety of diagnoses and pathways, with opportunities to advance as you float through service lines.

Qualifications

• ADN, BSN, MSN, or CNL from an accredited School of Nursing is required.
• Active DC RN License and Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (AHA/Red Cross) is required.
• Minimum of 2 years clinical nursing experience in a specific specialty area.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled, compassionate care to patients and families across a spectrum of needs.
• Assess evolving patient conditions, identify health concerns, and develop appropriate care plans.
• Coordinate interventions with other members of the nursing team.
