Job summary

Frisbie Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NH, is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Float Pool to provide flexible coverage across Med-Surg, ICU, ED, Rehab, and Senior Mental Health units. You will follow standards of care, supervise other staff, and coordinate care with physicians and the care team.

The role requires NH RN licensure (or compact state), BCLS and ACLS, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while ensuring patient confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current licensure as an RN in New Hampshire or a compact state.
• Active BCLS and ACLS certifications.
• Knowledge of CDC and CMS guidelines.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining HIPAA compliance.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to Standards of Patient Care and supervise LPNs, CNAs, and unit staff.
• Assess patients and obtain thorough bio-psycho-social history on admission.
• Review tests, monitor EKG/labs/x-ray and report to physicians.
• Develop and update individualized care plans with patient/family.
• Administer medications and monitor for effects and adverse events.
• Coordinate interdisciplinary care and discharge planning with the team.
• Document care accurately and maintain patient safety and confidentiality.
