Qualifications

• BSN is required.
• Current licensure in Massachusetts as a registered nurse is required.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of ICU Experience is preferred
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification required or must obtain ACLS by the end of orientation.
• Adheres to all I C.A.R.E. standards.
• Must show evidence of the basic analytic thinking necessary to care for a group of patients.
• Demonstrate observational skills and the ability to set priorities.
• Ability to function under stress with good interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergencies in any department as part of the Critical Care Float Pool RN team.
• Lead for all patient care emergency responses including Rapid Response, Code Blue, Code Stroke, and out-patient Code Blue calls.
• Plan and provide patient care for assigned patients in accordance with Nursing Standards of Care.
• Demonstrate commitment to Patient and Family Centered Care within a Magnet-designated hospital.
