Job summary

Sierra Medical Center, part of Northern Nevada Health System, offers a per diem Float Pool Patient Care Tech/CNA position in Reno, NV. The role provides direct and indirect patient care in a medical-surgical setting under a RN preceptor, with opportunities to float to all units.

Qualifications

• Current C.N.A. license required.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Prefer one year experience in an acute care/behavioral health setting.

Responsibilities

• Completes Bedside shift report in the room at the beginning and end of each shift.
• Consistently completes hourly rounds; 5 P's: pain, potty, position, periphery and alerting the RN to IV pump issues.
• Performs patient care considering age-specific standards (pediatric, geriatric, general).
• Performs all aspects of patient care to optimize safety and reduce errors.
