Job summary

Northwest Specialty Hospital, an extension of Northern Nevada Medical Center, seeks a Float Pool Registered Nurse for the Rehab/Behavioral Health Unit in Reno as a per diem position. You will provide direct and indirect patient care, communicate changes with physicians, and float to Med/Surg/Tele units as needed.

The role requires 2+ years acute care, NV RN license, and BLS. You will work in a dynamic team with compassionate care and a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• Two years of acute care experience required.
• Current NV nursing license.
• Current BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates bedside report using IMAP & SBAR.
• Provide direct patient care and evaluate outcomes; consult as needed.
• Perform head-to-toe assessments and reassessments per policy for diverse patient populations.
• Assess and manage pain; educate patients and families on pain management.
