Job summary

Universal Health Services, Inc. is seeking a Float Pool Registered Nurse for the Rehab/Behavioral Health Unit in Northwest Reno, NV. The role involves direct and indirect patient care across Rehab, Med/Surg and Tele units with a flexible per diem schedule, interacting with physicians about changes in patient condition.

Experience in acute care, NV RN license, and current BLS certification are required. The position supports an environment of compassionate care and professional growth within UHS

Qualifications

• Two years of acute care experience.
• Current NV nursing license.
• Current BLS certificate.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates supportive bedside reporting using IMAP & SBAR in partnership with the patient.
• Provides direct patient care, evaluates outcomes, consults with specialists as needed and adjusts nursing care to ensure optimal patient care.
• Ability to perform head-to-toe assessments on all patients and reassess per policy, including pediatric, adolescent and geriatric populations.
• Ability to assess and reassess pain and educate patients and families on pain management.
