Job summary

Northern Nevada Medical Center in Sparks, NV is seeking a Float Pool Registered Nurse to provide direct and indirect patient care across departments with compassion and competence.

The role requires current NV RN license, BLS/ACLS, and 2+ years in ED/ICU/PACU with ability to adapt quickly to changing conditions and float to all units within the hospital.

Qualifications

• Current NV nursing license.
• Current BLS & ACLS certificate.
• PALS certificate (to be obtained within six months of employment).
• At least two years critical care experience in the ED, ICU, or PACU.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates supportive behaviors necessary for performing bedside report using IMAP & SBAR.
• Provides direct patient care, evaluates outcomes, consults with other specialists as required and adjusts nursing care processes as indicated.
• Perform head-to-toe assessments on all patients and reassess per policy across age groups.
• Use triage processes to ensure timely and appropriate care and accurately assign triage categories.
• Demonstrates knowledge of cardiac monitoring, identifies dysrhythmias and treats per ACLS protocol.
