Job summary

Labcorp in Belleville, NJ is seeking a Float Phlebotomist to perform venipuncture across various client sites. You will collect specimens, enter patient data, process billing, and travel to additional sites as needed with rotating schedule.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED and phlebotomy experience; certification from an accredited agency is preferred. Pay ranges from $17.75 to $24.00 per hour with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent is required.
• 1 year or more experience as a phlebotomist is preferred.
• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
