Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist Float to join our Clifton, NJ team. The role involves performing venipuncture and capillary blood collections across age groups, collecting specimens for various tests, and providing outstanding patient service.

The schedule is Monday–Friday with varying hours and possible Saturday rotation; candidates should have a high school diploma and phlebotomy experience, with certification preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• One year or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training from an accredited program acceptable in lieu of experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other diagnostic purposes.
• Perform data entry of patient information accurately and in a timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Perform administrative and clerical duties as required.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
