Labcorp in New York is seeking a Float Phlebotomist to join our team across Eastern Nassau and Western Suffolk counties. The role involves venipuncture, collecting various specimens, data entry, billing, and strong patient service with travel to multiple sites as needed.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED and a phlebotomy certification or equivalent training, plus at least 0+ months of phlebotomy experience; travel and overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
