Job summary

Labcorp seeks a Float Phlebotomist to support multiple sites in the Eastern Nassau & Western Suffolk County area, NY. This role involves traveling among locations and collecting blood samples from diverse patient groups, with a schedule primarily Monday–Friday and rotating Saturdays.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, phlebotomy certification or related training, or 3+ months phlebotomy experience, with strong customer service skills and the ability to work independently or on a team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent required.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3+ months of phlebotomy experience required.
• In lieu of work experience, a phlebotomy certification from an accredited agency is acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all ages.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Enter patient information accurately into data systems.
• Process billing information and collect payments as needed.
• Prepare specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen logs.
• Provide superior customer service to patients.
• Travel to additional sites as needed.
