Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Float Phlebotomist to join our team in the Troy, MI area. The role involves venipuncture, specimen collection for various tests, and timely data entry of patient information. You will travel to multiple sites and deliver compassionate patient care in a fast-paced environment.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED and at least 1 year of phlebotomy experience; a certified phlebotomist is preferred. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 1+ year of phlebotomy experience.
• Phlebotomy certification from an accredited agency may substitute for experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all ages.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Enter patient information accurately into the system and maintain logs.
• Prepare specimens for testing and ensure proper labeling and handling.
• Travel to additional sites as needed and provide courteous care to patients.
