Job summary

Labcorp in Detroit is hiring a Phlebotomist Float to join our patient-centered team. You will perform venipuncture and capillary collections, collect specimens for drug screening and tests, and ensure accurate data entry and specimen handling.

We value strong communication, exceptional customer service, and the ability to work independently or with a team. A phlebotomy certificate or training from an accredited program is preferred, with a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• 1 year or more phlebotomy experience required.
• Phlebotomy certificate or accredited training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Enter patient information accurately and in a timely manner; maintain logs.
• Process billing information and collect payments when necessary
• Prepare specimens for testing and analysis; ensure proper specimen handling
• Provide superior customer service to patients; interact professionally
• Travel to additional sites as needed; support a flexible work schedule
