Job summary

Labcorp, a global leader in laboratory services, seeks a Float Phlebotomist to join our team across Washington, DC and surrounding areas. You will perform venipuncture and capillary collections, handle various specimen types, and ensure accurate data entry while delivering excellent patient service.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, a phlebotomy certification or training, and the ability to travel to multiple sites.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3+ months experience.
• Travel to additional sites may be required.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Other duties as assigned.
