Job summary

Labcorp seeks a Float Phlebotomist to join our Washington, DC area team. The role involves venipuncture and capillary blood collections for diverse patient ages, with travel to multiple sites as needed.

You will perform data entry, handle specimen processing, and provide exceptional patient service while maintaining logs and following safety standards. Eligible candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and phlebotomy certification or training.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED; phlebotomy certification or training plus 3+ months experience.
• Preferred 2+ years phlebotomy experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens and other tests.
• Enter patient data accurately and timely.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare specimens for testing and maintain logs.
• Provide superior customer service to patients.
• Travel to additional sites as needed.
