Job summary

Labcorp in Columbia, MD seeks a Phlebotomist Float to collect blood from diverse patient populations across multiple sites. Responsibilities include venipuncture, sample handling, data entry, and patient service.

Must have a high school diploma or GED; phlebotomy certification or training is preferred; travel to additional sites is required. Schedule is Monday–Friday with varying hours and occasional Saturdays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• Willing to travel to additional sites and meet driving requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Other duties as assigned.
