Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Float Phlebotomist to join our team in Montclair, NJ (covering Essex County). The role involves venipuncture and capillary collections, data entry, and travel to multiple sites.

You will provide excellent patient service and support billing processes as needed. The position requires at least 1 year of phlebotomy experience or a completed accredited Phlebotomy program, plus strong communication skills and a commitment to safety and accuracy.

Qualifications

• 1 year or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency.
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service.
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
