Qualifications

• Valid phlebotomy certification as required by the employing state.
• Minimum 6 months' venipuncture experience in fast-paced lab or hospital.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and label specimens.
• Centrifuge specimens and record maintenance data.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly to patients (blood draw).
• Match laboratory requisitions to specimen tubes.
• Package specimens for transport and maintain correct labeling.
• Attend annual department trainings.
